Army to help with coronavirus testing

Czech government allocated 68 soldiers to strengthen sampling teams. They will also participate in the management of covid-19 fight.

The soldiers will be deployed for the first time on Sunday at the re-testing of OKD mine workers in the Karviná region. The Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region previously said that it wasn't possible to test 6,000 employees without the army's help.

The military has already been assisting with testing in the previous months. It also guarded the borders and distributed medical supplies.
