Starting Saturday 5:00 CET, people arriving in the UK from the Czech Republic will have to isolate themselves for 14 days.
Czechia plans to try to reverse the decision. Switzerland and Jamaica are also to be added to the UK's quarantine list.
On the other hand, Czechs on holiday in Croatia can all breathe a sigh of relief. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that tests will not be mandatory for tourists returning from the country until at least September 7th.
Although the number of cases in Croatia has been growing recently, it is still a very popular holiday destination. In their decision-making, the authorities also took into account the fact that there are currently at least 60,000 Czech tourists in the country. And thousands more have their holidays there booked for September.
