Due to the coronavirus, Czechs' social media usage has risen to 159 minutes a day - that is 16 minutes more than last year.

According to the AMI Digital Index survey, four-fifths of respondents are active on social media every day. Among the most popular sites are Youtube and Facebook - the percentages of people having experience with these sites are 96% and 90%, respectively.
The share of Instagram users has been growing quickly for several years in a row and is now 58%. Only 16% of respondents have used TikTok before - however, the survey did not include children, who are probably the most enthusiastic users of this app.
Still, Czechs spend more time watching TV than browsing social media - 255 minutes a day on average.
