From today, the Czech republic allows gatherings of up to 500 people. This applies to cultural, sporting, religious and other social events. If the epidemiological situation stays positive, the limit could be raised to 1 000 people from June 22.
Also starting Monday, pubs, restaurants and cafés can continue to serve guests after 11 pm - though only in their outdoor spaces and gardens. Indoor spaces still have to close by then.
Theatres and cinemas no longer have to leave empty seats in the audience as a social distancing measure.
Wearing face masks is still mandatory in most indoor spaces - including shops and public transport - and in places where maintaining 2 metre distance from others is not possible. However starting today, visitors of swimming pools don't have to cover their faces.
