If the number of new infections continues to climb, the government will have to impose further restrictions - even a possible lockdown.
At today's press conference, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) and the Minister of Health Roman Prymula (for ANO) appealed to the citizens to comply with existing measures. Yesterday, a list of new restrictions was revealed - you can read about it here.
Right now, the government cannot rule out the possibility of a second lockdown, if the epidemiological situation continues to worsen. Yesterday, a total of 5,394 people tested positive for coronavirus - again a new daily record.
According to Prymula, in a lockdown, people would still be allowed to go to work. Outside of going to work, they would not be able to travel further than as-yet unspecified distance from home. They would also have to be by themselves or in groups of two.
